The Commission for Art Recovery

The Commission for Art Recovery, a global non-profit that deals with governments, museums and other institutions, seeks justice for Holocaust victims whose art was seized, confiscated, or wrongfully taken as a result of the policies of the Third Reich.

Project Overview

• Develop a scalable website that represents the organization's restituted art outcomes resulting from their persistent legal work.
• Redesign the navigation structure, streamlining the abundance of complex legal documents into an easy-to-access format.
• Incorporate famous pieces of restituted art to exemplify the organization's global reach and to perpetuate The Commission's mission.

The Solution
Gut Instinct Creative designed a highly interactive website that includes a robust Drupal-based Content Management System, which makes it easy for internal staff to add new cases, resources, news articles and upcoming events. The Commission's website now serves as a regular e-communications vehicle with its core audiences, providing individual case updates and comprehensive access to all case-related material.
